Your attitude towards starting school will greatly influence that of your child. If you are enthusiastic and excited about school, your child will be to. Regardless of your experiences at school, it is vital that you be positive and teach your child that learning is important – and it can be fun!
Most of us have dreaded math at some point of time in our lives. Whether in school or college, math was always a subject to be hated. From the beginning of educational life, math should be taught with a lot of care. If you are a parent or a teacher, you should make every effort to see that your child or student does not develop a hatred for the subject.
You can either make Music Education as a stressful activity or add fun to it with interesting session. Music theory Worksheets help you understand each minute trick of music which makes music learning interesting.
I will admit that there is one type of worksheet that I used in the past and found relatively beneficial, although it had a different kind of flaw. For my Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra classes, I had several books of ”self-checking” worksheets. These worksheets had puns or puzzle questions at the top, and as the students worked the problems they were given some kind of code for choosing a letter to match that answer. If they worked the problems correctly, the letters eventually answered the pun or riddle. Students enjoyed these worksheets, but there are a couple problem areas even with these worksheets. Some students would get the answer to the riddle early and then work backward from letter to problem answer, so they weren’t learning or practicing anything.
Printable worksheets can be done with your child when it is convenient for you. Between the ages of 3 and 5 they will need your help, as they cannot read instructions, but once you’ve explained what they need to do on each worksheet, you can leave them to it. A worksheet should not take more than 15 to 20 minutes to complete – you can certainly squeeze that in once or twice a week.
In 1986, mimeograph machines were (for the most part) replaced by digital copiers in elementary schools. Those of us teachers who experienced using mimeograph machines will forever remember the distinct smell of the still-damp, purple-ink worksheets that we handed out to our students – by the ream full. (If you’re like me, you can remember that smell right now!)
