There are some new materials being developed now based on what we are learning about how the brain learns. These brain-friendly materials should be an improvement over what has existed. I recently bought a book by Marcia L. Tate titled ”Mathematics Worksheets Don’t Grow Dendrites.” I highly recommend her book. She gives a great deal of information on alternative activities that are better for your child’s brain development and for learning.
I have had success in creating my own worksheets but you do not have to create your own unless you choose to do so. There are so many sites which offer free printables and there are also worksheet makers available. The way they work is that you input some data and their software creates a specific worksheet and answer key, if applicable. You approve the suggested form and print it for your children.
When it comes to using preschool worksheets, you will find that you have a number of different options. For instance, you can purchase preschool workbooks for your child. Preschool workbooks are nice, as they are a relatively large collection of individual preschool worksheets. You also have the option of using printable preschool worksheets. These printable preschool worksheets can be ones that you find available online or ones that you make on your computer yourself.
One web site reviewed by this author boasted of having over 11,000 worksheets! These teaching aids were not just for math – they covered a variety of courses. And most importantly, they are all available to parents at no charge!
Benefit- Worksheets for kid’s suit all age groups, as these can be upgraded easily they are suitable for different capabilities and applications of each individual child depending on their learning needs.
The first step is to consider the correct or appropriate font to use – the bigger the better. Avoid fonts such as the Roman Script as the curls and curves of the letters may be confusing. For kids, fun fonts such as the Comic Sans MS are advisable. It can be used as standard fonts for worksheets especially when bugger fonts are needed. Note that the font size itself may differ depending on the age of the students. So when writing worksheets for kids, font sizes between 14 and 18 are suggested.
