Have you ever noticed how many K-12 math content websites are devoted to math worksheets? There seems to be an increase in websites that cater to desperate teachers and parents by offering fast, free ”worksheet generation”, ”10 free fractions worksheets,” etc.
During a recent internet search of sites promising the stars of success in mathematics, I discovered a site dedicated to teaching the multiplication facts with, what else but, skill and drill worksheets. Page after page, after page of skill and drill worksheets. At first, I was terribly frustrated to see this and I started to ask the question ”How many times do I need to say…?” Then I remembered the answer: At least one more!
Like a Road Map A goal setting worksheet is like the road map. The map gives you an overview of the route to take, but it does not show all the obstacles such as traffic accidents and road repair on your journey.

As soon as a mistake is made, the reason for the mistake must be identified, and the correct method needs to be practiced right then and there several times. And then again in about 10 minutes, and then checked again before class is over.
